Hi!! I am Rina!

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and owner/operator at Tranquillum Counselling & Psychotherapy Services!

If you are on this page, it means you are considering therapy, and I want to take a moment to honor the courage it takes to seek out help, as therapy, especially if you are just starting out can be incredibly intimidating! This is why I try my level best to ensure that therapy and the therapeutic relationship is most importantly a safe space and safe relationship where a client can sit in ease and talk about anything they wish to talk about.

Having experienced life transitions and challenges at the age of 13, and having struggled to find someone who could help me out, I knew I wanted to grow up to be the person who would have helped me out. A large part of life is recognizing how the “demons in our closet” or events we experienced in our past are impacting our present day functioning as a huge part of being human involves having to navigate the joys, sorrows, complexities and nuances that come with various life experiences and transitions.

I have always had a passion for helping people which is what drew me to pursue a career in mental health and psychotherapy. I know it can get challenging when facing these transitions or issues alone and I am here to support you through these struggles with a heart full of empathy and compassion. With me you will find someone rooting for your success as we collaboratively navigate your life transitions!

My Approach

I prioritize a client-centered and collaborative approach that is tailored to each individual's unique needs. I view the client as the expert on their own life, and I aim to create a welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe environment where they can feel heard and supported. My role as a therapist is to work alongside the client to draw from a range of therapeutic techniques and develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their goals and preferences. Ultimately, my goal is to provide the client with the tools and resources they need to achieve greater well-being and fulfillment in their lives.
